Pre-Law Course

Every summer, we host an intensive week-long program that prepares incoming first year law students for 1L and beyond. Our Pre-Law Course teaches the substantive law and the foundational skills of law school. The course includes our must-have guides and outlines for 1L courses so that you can refer to them throughout your law school journey.

Substantive lectures give an overview of first semester material for Criminal Law, Torts, and Contracts. The workshops included in the course cover how to outline, brief cases, prepare for law school exams, answer MBE questions, and approach a law school essay. During the course, we will walk through a series of practice exams and, at the conclusion of the course, you will have the opportunity to write and receive feedback on an essay.

The Pre-Law Course gives students insight into how to manage their time and prioritize their mental health during law school. After taking this course, you will know what to expect and how to succeed in law school. Set yourself up for success by learning the law and developing the skills you need in advance.
